Fill a tall glass with ice, 1/4 Pimm's #1 Cup, 3/4 7-Up, muddled fresh mint, slices of cucumber, slices of lemon, slices of lime. There's no secret to it, though I do recommend having access to a comfortable chair in a shady spot. (BTW-from the way this "recipe" is constructed, you can probably tell I am home-economically challenged.)

The English are not terribly well-versed in the trials of a hardcore summer. But I have to say, they so have one of the best summertime cocktails. There's nothing like a icy-cold Pimm's cup, with its cucumber slices, lime, lemon, and fresh mint, on a hot afternoon.
